Newby Question about Cloud vs P2P

Fo all of intensive purposes on our end, we will only need P2P. Meaning….We do not need to stream through a cloud. We just really just need a WebRTC server with Daily to connect the two customers on a 1:1 basis.

Are we able to do this?

Hi @MIDIculous all 1:1 calls on Daily are currently started in P2P. By default, when a third person joins any call, we will switch that call from P2P to SFU:

If you wish to change this, then you can set up that sfu_switchover value as discussed above to a higher number at any time, so that even larger calls will remain on P2P, even if we do advise using SFU for smoother, larger sessions:
