Threshold for poor video quality
Hello,
we want to display information of the video quality in a daily session. We hit the daily /log API to display information for packet loss, upload and download bitrate. As the quality drops under a certain threshold, we want to display a "poor connection" banner.
What threshold is considered a poor connection?
This is what I found so far:
packet loss: > 1%
upload: < 1Mbps (SD), < 3-4Mbps (HD)
download: < 1Mbps (SD), < 3-4Mbps (HD)
Are this some reasonable breakpoints? There a about 4-6 people in the video conference. Does this mean, we need to multiply the download rate by the users in SFU mode?

Hi @Daniel808 , we have a client-side API specifically for this,
getNetworkStats()
:The method returns a qualitative and quantitative quality rating based on the measured send-side packet loss for an individual client.
There's also a set of events that you can use for notification purposes:
Let us know if those work for what you're looking to do!
